Vintage Book & Pink Paper Circles Garland

I've been having a bit of success lately selling my paper circles garland in my Etsy store. I just finished making 15 yards of pink, white & vintage book garland (I used pages from a vintage edition of Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte) and it is now available in my Etsy shop {HERE}.

Digital Family Tree

Awhile ago I created a paper family tree with some brown cardstock & a maple leaf punch. I added the names of my family & their birthdates & it now resides in my entryway. I love it! I love keeping every day reminders of my family in my home.
Well, I've now surpassed even my own genius (though how that works I'm not quite sure). This morning I got the amazing idea that I should digitalize my family tree pattern. I scanned in my leafless tree shape & then created a new family tree in Photoshop Elements using my digital scrapbook papers & computer fonts. I made this one to hang in Sharon's room so that she can have some pretty, but sentimental art, too. I'm going to make these trees available for purchase in my Etsy store early next week, so check back then! I just love these colors!
I now have custom digital family trees available for sale in my Etsy shop! Check it out {here}!

It's that time of year again

No, I'm not talking about Christmas, though I do have all my Christmas songs loaded onto my iPod & they get shuffled in all the time. I am talking about the wonderful time of year when prickly pears ripen! Most of you who may not know me well are probably thinking, "Why in the heck would anyone be excited about a cactus fruit being ripe?" Well, because when those fruit get ripe, it means that it's time to make more prickly pear jelly, which I love!
Last year was the first time that I had tried my hand at making prickly pear jelly after I noticed a large cactus loaded with them over by the bank in town. It was definitely a success. As I started making more of this jelly, my husband pointed out that we were never going to be able to eat all the jams & jellies that I make (ie: I still have strawberry jam that I made in 2005 when we first got married). I just love to make it, though, so I decided I would try to sell the prickly pear jelly. I found quite a few people were willing to buy it at work, & was able to sell over 60 half pints last year. Yesterday was my first day of picking the fruit & making jelly. So, I've made 12 jars, & sold 6 of those already. I love the fact that I have a hobby that will pay for itself, plus a little extra! So, if you are nearby & want to try some homemade (absolutely delicious) prickly pear jelly, let me know! $3 a half-pint.

Family Tree Pedigree Charts

I have Family Tree Pedigree Charts available for purchse. Below are some example trees The tree includes two halves (which are placed into two separate frames and hung next to one another for the best effect), one side for the husband's, and the other for the wife's, side of the family.

Trees are four generations, which means it includes you, your parents, grandparents, and great grandparents. If you want, you may send me a pedigree chart with the necessary names and birthdates and I will write them on the leaves before shipping to you.
Each half of the tree fits into an 11x14 inch picture frame very nicely.
If you don't want the red and orange leaves I can substitute light and dark green leaves, or I also have some fall yellow leaves.
Trees cost $25 (shipping included), plus $5 if you want me to write the names. If you want to order a tree, please leave a comment with your email address so that I can give you the specifics.

Picture frames are not included (mainly because I'm sure you have specific preferences that wouldn't necessarily match my tastes)

I will also include the family names as shown in the green leafed tree picture.
